Water from the stream is diverted to the PVC pipe by installing a dam across the stream. A grating is used over the inlet to filter out debris . The Water wheel is fabricated out of Marine Plywood and it is 1200mm in diameter. The paddles are also of plywood fitted to the wheel flange by tenon and mortice joint method. Steel stays are used to complete the assembly. The water wheel is of undershot type. The power is transmitted to a small generator which lights LED and plays a Radio.
